Not that anyone didn't see this shit coming, possibly via Biden, but Obama Sides With RIAA, Supports $150,000 Fine per Music Track.

At what point is it more profitable to stop selling IPs altogether and go entirely into the lawsuit business?

"A single US attorney filing an amicus brief in a Massachusetts District Court, arguing constitutionality" is not, by even the most fevered imagination, "Obama personally approves of $150k fines".

I'm really not sure if this goes here or the inappropriate jokes thread, but I was laughing my ass off at something I saw today:

For the first time today, I saw a head of government or a chief explain exactly why we are in Afghanistan, with everything to do with the encompassing geopolitical situation involving Pakistan, India and Russia as well as the sacrifices of USA's allies.

This makes me happy.

Very happy.  Leadership in this campaign was something that was needed from the top level.

You can find it on his whitehouse.gov website on a 21-minute video.

Not bad, considering that newspapers such as The Economist were calling on him to be more of a Leader at home and Abroad

As much as I see the articles I'm about to read in reply, I hope the next leaders section reflects this.

Hehe, I saw Arc's first picture in the paper today. I want it framed and on my wall.

Maybe this belongs in the "Your Name is Toby!" thread, but here's your Barack Hussein Obama quote-of-the-week:

Quote
'The United States has been enriched by Muslim Americans. Many other Americans have Muslims in their family, or have lived in a Muslim-majority country. I know because I am one of them.'

Somewhere, there are people screaming in agony at that. People who richly deserve such agonies.

They chose a Church for Easter mass, too.

Good to know that Mr. Obama is able to make the tough decisions that both these troubled times and these very bored citizens are demanding.

Beware, the water dog carries a terrible curse.

(Note: Third top story on Google's aggregator.)

Okay, I was sick of the "they got the dog!" stories the minute I saw them, but this was just too cute:
